Engineering science is an interdisciplinary major that allows students to acquire a strong base in mathematics, the physical sciences, and engineering fundamentals while pursuing a broad background to teach engineering design in exciting hands-on technology education laboratories in secondary schools.

 

The engineering education concentration provides students with the engineering and teaching experience to enter junior and senior high school laboratories to teach engineering design principles and concepts in an exciting technology education classroom. The technical electives are chosen predominantly from the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Colorado State University Engineering Science graduates are well prepared for a professional career in teaching and if combined with professional engineering experience, enjoy a greater than 90% pass rate on the Fundamentals of Engineering Professional Exam.
